What’s a thimble list? Well at least that’s what I asked Lizzi. Maybe you already know this cute term. A thimble list is a list of easily attainable goals (the mini, more immediate version of a bucket list). I love the idea of creating a thimble list. And thimbles remind me of playing in my mom’s sewing stash when I was a kid and how much I loved Thumblelina.
Thauna:
- Keeping my dining room table clear. (this is quite a difficult task for me, I’m a clutter-bug)
- Going to Silver Lake before summer ends.
- Reading Freedom: A Novel
- by Jonathan Franz.
- Designing some business card for my design business
- Editing my most recent photo sessions
Lizzi:
- Reading the stack of books on my bedside table that I’ve started and then forgotten. And then finishing the books I’ve started, stopped, and reshelved. It’s not that I wasn’t enjoying these books while I was reading them, it’s just that a new book caught my eye, and then I kept repeating the cycle.
- De-cluttering my house.
- Framing some of my prints to decorate my de-cluttered house with.
- Gaining more css/html knowledge. My plan is to set aside time at night during the week to dedicate to it…like going to night school in my den!
- Getting back in shape. I started the C25K program this week and so far so good! My goal is to do Pat’s Run in April.

Hey girls, I love your Thimble Lists! I love this idea and I think it would be a great weekly post. I’m thinking of doing it over at my blog. I love the simple things in life. I do believe those are the things that really do keep us all centered, balanced and blissful.
I hope your Thimbles come true.

Stealing from both your lists, I would say:
A clean dining table, free of art supplies and to-do folders.
Finishing one of the books I’ve started.
Starting a new book and discovering I LOVE it.
Seeing a movie I thoroughly enjoy and don’t want to end.
Starting an exercise program I really enjoy. (It has happened!)

Love the idea of a thimble list!
1. I’ve got to put clearing off the dining room table, too. It’s been the home of a major paper project for the past couple of weeks. It’s time to see the table cloth again!
2. Finish painting my son’s room–no way I could get three different color stripes done in one weekend and I just haven’t had time to pull everything out and do the bottom color.
3. We’re going through a bit of a crisis in my house right now and I started a journal. I need to get that caught up.
4. Love that decluttering idea, Lizzie. I’d love to take a room a week and do that.
5. Get all of my ironing caught up. Seriously, I’m that far behind!

Easily attainable goals? Hmmm… To be “easy” I need to be motivated, but here are my thoughts.
1. Replace the carpet in our guest bedroom.
2. Put a door on Emily’s room.
3. Get bookshelves (for Emily’s books and my books).
4. Get a pair of good quality athletic/walking shoes.
5. I’m going to steal from someone above for my last one – finish the books on my nightstand that I started but never finished.
